Mustard Seed Growth Continues

As we celebrate all that has grown through the Mustard Seed programme, we are looking ahead to how this growth will continue. We have learnt so much about people growing in faith and discipleship and stepping up in mission, which we have shared through the Mustard Seed Thinking report.

This learning will shape and inform the next phase of Mustard Seed Growth in the Diocese of York. Mustard Seed is part of the current SMMIB application. We are hopeful for funding to sustain Stepping Up in Middlesbrough and Hull for two years, with plans for Mustard Seed learning to become part of how we invest in lay people as business as usual in the Diocese, beginning with pilots in Bridlington and Scarborough deaneries.

Heather Black, has been licensed into a new role at York Minster as lead for Growing Churches of Missionary Disciples. The role will include plans to sustain Stepping Up, and to share this learning and vision for missional discipleship across the Diocese.
